When you’re asking for someone you love.

Surrogate QHHT® · By inquiry

They can’t be here.
Let’s talk about the possibilities.

You might be thinking of someone in hospital, someone who is housebound, or a loved one who cannot participate in a session themselves.

Within QHHT, a surrogate session is an approach in which a close relative or friend attends in person and experiences hypnosis with questions relating to that person. We begin with a conversation about the circumstances, consent and whether this is an appropriate option.

Who actually comes to the session?

The surrogate—the close relative or friend—is the person who meets with me and takes part in hypnosis. The person they are asking on behalf of is not the person undergoing hypnosis in that appointment.

This is a spiritual exploration within the QHHT framework. It is not a way to verify another person’s thoughts, memories, wishes or health, or to make decisions for them.

First, we talk

Your inquiry

Tell me, in general terms, why you’re asking. Keep identifying and medical details out of the first message.

Then, we consider

Consent & fit

We review the proposed participant, permission, privacy and whether I can appropriately facilitate the request within my training.

If appropriate

An in-person session

The agreed surrogate attends. Any questions, practical arrangements and expectations are clarified beforehand.

Someone is in hospital. Can this help them?

It’s understandable to look for ways to support someone you care about. We can discuss the spiritual intention behind your request, but I can’t promise that a surrogate session will affect the absent person or their health.

It does not diagnose, treat or replace hospital care, and it should not delay care or change treatment decisions. Anything experienced in hypnosis is not medical information about your loved one.

Their wishes still matter.

Being a family member or friend does not automatically give someone permission to arrange a session or share private information on another person’s behalf. We discuss consent before considering any booking.

If the person cannot express their wishes, please say so in general terms. We’ll need to clarify whether there is an appropriate basis to proceed; a relative’s request or an impression during hypnosis is not a substitute for that review.

A note about my practice

I am a QHHT® Level 1 Intern. Surrogate requests are considered individually, with any necessary practitioner guidance sought before a booking is offered. An inquiry does not confirm that I can facilitate the session.

The participating surrogate would meet with me in person in Etobicoke, west Toronto. Time, any no-fee practice arrangement and preparation are confirmed specifically for the request; please don’t assume the standard session details automatically apply.

We can hold a spiritual intention with care while being honest about what we cannot know or promise.

Would you like to ask about it?

Send a brief message saying you’re interested in a surrogate session. We can start there, without sharing someone else’s private story in a first hello.
